Producing the Various Tunings:

Standard Tuning: E A D G B E

Drop D:
  1. Lower the low E string to match D string.

Double Drop D:
  1. 1. Lower both low E and high E strings to match D string.

'Dad Gad':
  1. Lower both low E and high E strings to match D string.
  2. Lower B string to match A string.

Open G:
  1. Lower both low E and high E strings to match D string.
  2. Lower A string to match G string.

Open D:
  1. Lower both low E and high E strings to match D string.
  2. Lower B string to match A string.
  3. Lower G string one half-step to F#.

G6:
  1. Lower the low E string to match D string.
  2. Lower A string to match G string.

Open G Minor:
  1. Lower both low E and high E strings to match D string.
  2. Lower A string to match G string.
  3. Lower B string one half-step to Bb.

Open E Minor:
  1. Raise A string to match B string.
  2. Raise D string to match the high E string.
